The Mifflin County wrestling squad opens the 2012-13 season tomorrow at the Ephrata Duals.

Daniel Boone, Columbia, Ephrata, Garden Spot, and Downingtown East will be the opponents for the Huskies in the one day competition.

East will be the strongest opponent of the four with the Cougars bringing back two regional qualifiers from a year ago in junior Adam Pleines (27-12 at 195) and senior Alex Wait (28-15 at 152). Seniors Matt Bartolotta (28-8 at 220) and T.J. Nelson (26-14 at 126) will provide a challenge as well.

Garden Spot is led by regional qualifiers Nick Cook (34-6 at 126), Will Finkey (18-10 at 138), Tanner Leid (28-10 at 152), and Ben Swarr (40-4 at 170).

The Blazers and Crimson Tide have zero state or regional qualifiers returning, while the host school has senior Todd Dumas (29-6 at 120) back in the fold.

Mifflin County should breeze through the four duals with minimal difficulty.

The Huskies will unveil their solid freshmen trio of Hayden Hidlay, ranked ninth in the state at 113, Noah Stewart, and Brandon Wilson.

Wilson captured two PAJW state titles in 2009 and 2011, with Hidlay and Stewart winning gold in 2008.
