Eagles Prove too Much for Huskies

In its match against Cumberland Valley, Mifflin County found out it still has a way to go to reach the top of the Mid-Penn Commonwealth standings.

Th Eagles improved to 2-0 on the season, rolling up bonus points in seven of 10 victories, cruising to the 46-13 win over the Huskies.

Mifflin County, now 7-2 on the season, got wins from Hayden Hidlay (145), Trey Hartsock (182), Timmy Pearce (195) and Kyle Kahley (220), in his season debut.

Hidlay bumped up to 145 and handed Alex Wolfe a 4-2 defeat. The Husky sophomore made a first-period takedown and a third-period reversal stand up for the victory. Hidlay improved to 16-2 on the season.

Hartsock (14-7) defeated Trent Cook 8-3, Pearce (14-6) continued his hot wrestling by majoring Brandon Rigney 10-2, while Kahley eked out a 2-1 decision over Jake Black.

Cumberland Valley won the takedown battle 18-9.

Mifflin County hosts Altoona on Wednesday.
