Five Area Wrestlers Heading to PJW States

Five Mifflin County youth wrestlers made it through the Area II tournament to advance to the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling championships in Harrisburg this weekend.

In the 9-10 division, Nic Allison (55), Trey Shoemaker (85) and Rylan Bailey (120) won Area II titles, as did Trey Kibe (90) in the 11-12 division. Kibe is a returning PJW state champ.

Ethan Kauffman (75) earned a second-place medal in the 11-12 class and will make the trip to states.

Here are the first round matches for the Mifflin County contingent:


55: Nic Allison, bye.
85: Trey Shoemaker vs. Nicholas Velde, East Penn
120: Rylan Bailey, bye.


75: Ethan Kauffman vs. Andrew Brest, General McLane
90: Trey Kibe vs. Donovan McMillon, Peters Township
