Heavyweights Help MC Down Little Lions

The Mifflin County wrestling team swept the bouts from 182 to 285 and that allowed the Huskies to come away with tough 36-30 victory over State College in a Mid-Penn Commonwealth matchup Thursday night.

Trey Hartsock (182) and Timmy Pearce (195) each had 37-second falls, while Kyle Kahley recorded a 13-1 major at 220 and Colton Craig picked up a decision at 285.

Other winners for Mifflin County (9-2, 3-1) were Noah Myers at 113, Isaac Underhill at 132, Hayden Hidlay at 138 and Noah Stewart at 152.

The Little Lions fell to 5-6 overall and 0-4 in the Mid-Penn. The Mifflin County junior high squad won 49-41 to improve to 8-1 on the season.

Next up for the Huskies is a Mid-Penn road contest against Carlisle on Saturday.
