Hidlay Captures Title at Wolfpack Open

North Carolina State freshman Hayden Hidlay improved to 9-0 on the young season by capturing the 157-pound championship at the Wolfpack Open on Sunday.

The former Mifflin County state champ went 5-0 on the day, capping it off with a 6-2 decision over Mitch Finesilver of Duke in the finals.

Hidlay, wrestling unattached, will redshirt this season. Next up for Hayden is the always tough Midlands Championships on Dec. 29-30 in Evanston, Illinois.

Rd 32: fall in 2:30 over Kaleb Forsythe, Va Tech
Rd 16: 15-0 TF over Jahi Jones, Maryland
Quarters: 17-5 major over Anthony Wokasch, American U
Semi: 6-2 over Ryan Mosley, Gardner Webb
Final: 6-2 over Mitch Finesilver, Duke
