Hidlay Finishes Second at Junior National Greco Tournament.

Trent Hidlay dropped a 7-2 decision to Andrew Berreyesa of Nevada to finish second at the Junior National Greco-Roman championship in Fargo, North Dakota on Saturday.

Hidlay opened the scoring with an out-of-bounds-point, but Berreyesa, the Cornell recruit, scored six unanswered points with a four-point takedown at the 2:18 mark and a takedown 15 seconds later. Hidlay earned another out-of-bounds point to make it 6-2. Berreyesa earned a point and the first period ended 7-2. There was no scoring in the second period.

Hidlay went 11-2 at Junior Nationals with runner-up finishes in Freestyle and Greco. Trent is now 105-5 in the spring and summer season.

    Brian; You hit the nail directly on the head about Suriano and his fatefull decision to leave PSU and try to get back closer to home at Rutgers. He left the nitts high and dry and should have to sit out a year and lick his wounds as PSU will have to do at 125! Hopefully Coach K will be able to fill the hole with some kind of talent.
