Hidlay Wins PAWF Title; Qualifies for Junior Nationals in Fargo

Trent Hidlay continued his impressive spring/summer season by capturing the 170-pound crown at the PAWF freestyle championships Saturday in Chambersburg.

Hidlay qualified for the ASICS Junior National Championships in Fargo, ND in July.

Trent opened with a 12-2 technical fall in the quarterfinals over Michael Blakemore of Methacton. He followed that with a 12-0 tech fall over Reed Custer of Emmaus in the semis. In the finals, Hidlay smoked Jake Hendricks of Wyoming Seminary by a 10-0 technical fall.

Trey Kibe wrestled in the 145-pound Cadet Division and went 5-2, but failed to place.
