Mifflin County 49, Altoona 23

The Mifflin County wrestling team improved to 5-1 on the season with a 49-23 victory over Altoona on Tuesday.

The Huskies held a slim 22-20 lead after 182 before claiming five of the last six bouts, four of those wins scoring bonus points.

Tre Carter started the run with a 6-3 victory of Jacob Scheinberg at 220. The Mountain Lions got their final win at heavyweight when Austin Rosenberry defeated Kyle Kahley 4-2 in the tiebreaker.

Mifflin County reeled off four straight to close out the match with Daulton Wilson (106) and Hayden Hidlay (113) racking up falls, while Isaac Underhill (120) and Noah Stewart (126) won by forfeit.

Other winners for the Huskies were Kevin Bair (138), Joe Knarr (152), Darion Pierce (160), and Jake Lilley (182). Mifflin County hosts Central Dauphin East in its Mid-Penn debut on Thursday.
