Mifflin County wrestling coach Kirby Martin may not admit it publicly but when the 2017-18 schedule came out facing State College at home was circled on his calendar.

Last season, the Huskies held a 36-14 lead over the Little Lions only to watch it evaporate as State College won the last four bouts by fall for the 38-36 victory.

Here we are a year later and the Little Lions venture to the Husky gym for the rematch tonight in a Mid-Penn Commonwealth dual, beginning at 7 p.m.

Mifflin County (4-1, 1-1), coming off its first loss of the season dropping a tough 34-33 decision to Chambersburg on Tuesday, own victories over Strath Haven (68-12), Manheim Township (58-10), Mount Union (38-30), and Carlisle (39-35). Mifflin County finished sixth at the King of the Mountain tournament last weekend in Mill Hall.

Leaders for the Huskies include top-ranked Trent Hidlay (9-0 at 182/195), No. 2 Christian Fisher (9-1 at 113), No. 21 Logan Wise (8-3 at 132), Trey Kibe (10-2 at 152), Jacob Krepps (6-3 at 195), Kross Todaro (8-3 at 220), John Retherford (6-4 at 138), and Derek Burk (4-4 at 120).

State College (1-1, 0-0) defeated Jersey Shore (52-26) and lost to Shikellamy (42-34). The Little Lions also competed in the Jarvis Tournament.

Junior Cole Urbas, third in the state last season, leads the Little Lion attack. Urbas (2-0) is ranked No. 1 in the state at 195. Senior Ian Barr (2-0) is rated seventh at 170 pounds.  Other top wrestlers for State College are sophomore Clayton Leidy (4-1 at 113), freshmen Owen Woolcott (5-1 at 120), and Lance Urbas (4-3 at 160), and senior Jackson Heasley (2-0 at 285).
