Penn State keeps right on rolling in what’s shaping up to be one of the best recruiting classes in college wrestling history.

Two-time state champion Jason Nolf (Kittanning, Pa.), whose only career loss came in the state semifinals his sophomore year to Trinity’s Ryan Diehl, verbally committed to the Nittany Lions. Nolf has a career record of 132-1, including a 45-0 mark this year on the way to a state title at 132 pounds. He ended the season ranked No. 6 in the nation at the weight class.

Committing to Penn State, Nolf becomes the third top 15 wrestler in the Class of 2014 to do so, joining No. 1 Chance Marsteller (Kennard Dale, Pa.) and No. 4 Nick Nevills (Clovis, Calif.). Solanco’s Thomas Haines was a top five commit, but Penn State coach Cael Sanderson removed the offer after landing Nevills.

Outside the high school season, Nolf placed third at the Super 32 and second at the FloNationals during the 2012-13 year; and three weeks ago went undefeated at the Disney Duals for a second consecutive summer. He projects as a 141/149 pounder in college.
