Penn State wrestling coach Cael Sanderson continued his recruiting magic by landing another top 10 recruit in the 2014 class on Wednesday.

Bo Nickal (Allen, Texas), who is ranked No. 8 overall in the Class of 2014 by Intermat, verbally committed to the Nittany Lions. He joins No. 1 Chance Marsteller (Kennard-Dale, Pa.), No. 4 Nick Nevills (Clovis, Calif.), and No. 15 Jason Nolf (Kittanning, Pa.) as Penn State commits in the class. Earlier in July, Nickal was champion at 170 pounds in the Junior National Freestyle Championships. After winning a second state title this winter, he also added a FILA Cadet freestyle championship at 167.5 pounds on the resume.

For his three years of high school wrestling in Texas, Nickal is a three-time state finalist with a record of 140-7; winning state titles the last two years at 145 and 160 pounds. He has finished second twice in high school state tournaments, adding a runner-up finish at 103 pounds in eighth grade in New Mexico to the one as a freshman at 125 pounds. Nickal is also a two-time Preseason Nationals champion, a 2012 Cadet Triple Crown winner, and projects as a 174/184 in college.
