Preseason Wrestling Kicks Off With Journeymen Classic

Nationally ranked Hayden Hidlay and younger brother Trent, both competing at 145, kick off the preseason tournaments with a visit to the Journeymen Classic in New York on October 5th.

Grapplers from all over the country will be making the trip to the Albany-area, as more than 25 states are represented in the event. October starts the high school season with a plethora of preseason tournaments, culminating in the Super 32 championships at Greenboro, North Carolina on November 1-2.

Representing Mifflin County at the Super 32 are Hayden Hidlay, Noah Stewart, Trey Hartsock and Brandon Wilson.

Hayden is one of the favorites at the Journeymen Classic at 145, along with Mark McCormick (4th in New Jersey states), Nick Kiussis of Ohio, Frankie Gissendanner (New York) and Danny Boychuck (PA Prep All-American).
