Penn State coach Cael Sanderson wasn’t done with the 2014 recruiting class after all.

Two-time state champion and four-time state placer (5-2-1-1) Shakur Rasheed (Longwood, N.Y.) committed to Penn State this weekend. The No. 55 prospect in the Class of 2014, and the No. 8 overall 160-pound wrestler nationally, joins three top ten overall seniors as Nittany Lion commits this year: No. 4 Nick Nevills (Clovis, Calif.), No. 5 Bo Nickal (Allen, Texas), and No. 7 Jason Nolf (Kittaning, Pa.)

Rasheed was also a NHSCA Junior Nationals champion at 152, and a Sophomore Nationals runner-up at 145 pounds. He projects as a collegiate 157/165.

He finished his senior campaign 19-0 after missing most of the season with a knee injury. Rasheed was voted outstanding wrestler of the NY state tournament.
