Penn State’s two-time NCAA champion Ed Ruth has been suspended indefinitely by head coach Cael Sanderson for violating team rules.

Sanderson broke the news at his weekly press conference.

“Real quick, one thing: Ed Ruth broke team rules yesterday,” Sanderson said. “He will not be wrestling this weekend. I’m not going to comment on that really any more than that, but just so you know. We’re going to figure out what we’re going to do [going forward], but definitely this weekend.”

Ruth will miss the weekend dual meets with Rider and Lehigh. James Frascella, who went 3-2 at the Binghamton Open last Sunday, will step in at 184.
