Two Huskies Earn Top Seeds at D6-AAA Tourney

Mifflin County’s Hayden Hidlay (138) and Timmy Pearce (195) earned top seeds for the District 6 Class AAA tournament which begins Saturday at 9 am at the Altoona Field House.

Noah Stewart (152), Brandon Wilson (160) and Trey Hartsock (182) are second seeds, while Daulton Wilson (126), Isaac Underhill (132), Kyle Kahley (220) and Colton Craig (285) are seeded third. Freshman Noah Myers is seeded fourth at 113.

The top four placers in each weight advance to the Northwest Regionals next week. If the seeds hold, the Huskies will have 10 moving on.

Rounding out the Husky lineups is Kyle Smith (120) and Keith Corson (170) seeded fifth, Isaac Habbershon (145) is a ninth seed and Jonah Schultz (106) is seeded tenth.

Hidlay, Stewart and Brandon Wilson are returning district champions for Mifflin County.

152: D.J. Hollingshead, Altoona
160: Chad Reese, Central Mountain
170: Gavin Caprio, Central Mountain
182: Dennis Lumadue, Philipsburg-Osceola
195: Timmy Pearce, Mifflin County
220: Cameron Porter, Central Mountain
285: Bryce Hanley, Central Mountain

      Agreed David. Central Mountain has five kids seeded first, but if the seeds can hold out, Mifflin County will push 10 into regionals like last year.
